Perdono (settimana n.8)

Ciao a tutti;

Mi chiamo Giulianno e vengo dal Brasile.Ho 24 anni. Mia moglie Rebecca ed io siamo studenti della scuola di discepolato di GIM. Viviamo in Italia da più di due anni, e il nostro primo contato con GIM è stato nel novembre di 2008 in un incontro qui a Pescara di GIM Italia: In quell'occasione abbiamo conosciuto Beto e Raquel Tavares, che fin dall'inizio ci hanno parlato di questa scuola di discepolato: Questo ci ha fatto pensare molto, però era una idea molto lontana e quasi "impossibile" per noi, ma non per Dio, infatti dopo un anno e mezzo da quell' invito siamo tornati a Pescara, ma adesso come studenti della SDD!

Quest' ultima settimana si è parlato del "Perdono", ed è stata proprio Raquel a insegnarci. Questo è un argomento importantissimo sia per noi individualmente, come per noi come gruppo. Io ho cominciato a capire in modo molto più profondo come il perdono è importante per una vita cristiana sana e come ci sono diversi passi e cose da perdonare, come per esempio perdonare noi stessi, perdonare a Dio, i nostri genitori, ecc...Sebbene sia un passo dificile e doloroso, il perdono è un comandamento. Noi abbiamo la tendenza a non lo volerlo fare, però si deve fare una scelta, e la scelta del perdono è quella che porta liberazione e guarigione ai nostri cuori.

Queste ultime due settimane sono state speciali anche per via del sole che finalmente è venuto a visitarci, e questo si vede già sulla nostra pelle, siamo infatti tutti un po' abbronzati grazie alle nostre uscite pomeridiane al mare :)

La prossima settimana verrà un insegnante brasiliano, che ci insegnerà sulle “relazioni”. Siamo pieni di aspettativa, perche è un insegnamento che ci preparerà anche per la nostra fase pratica, infatti questo argomento è importante sia per noi come gruppo che per le nostra evangelizazzione in Irlanda.

Questa domenica siamo andati a una piccola chiesa a San Salvo, abbiamo passato tutta la giornata con loro, anche se era una comunità piccola sono stato molto benedetto da loro. La mattina siamo andati al parco del paese per un tempo di lode e di evangelizazzione che è stato davvero bellissimo, dopo abbiamo pranzato con la chiesa, e nel pomeriggio abbiamo guidato la lode e il culto. È stato bellissimo vedere l'iniziativa della chiesa di voler raggiungere quel paesino e credo che il Signore li onorerà in questo.

Forgiveness (week 8)

Hello everyone;

My name is Giulianno and I am Brazilian. I'm 24 and I am a student with my wife Rebeca. We have lived in Italy for more than two years, and our first contact with YWAM happened in November of 2008 at a meeting of YWAM Italy here in Pescara, where we met Beto and Raquel Tavares, who began to talk about this Discipleship school. They made us think a lot, but it was a distant idea, almost "impossible" for us. Not for God. After a year and a half he called us back in Pescara, but now as students of the DTS!

Last week our topic was "Forgiveness", and Raquel was our speaker. This issue is important both for us as individuals and for us as a group. I began to understand more deeply how forgiveness is important for a healthy Christian life and how there are different steps and people to forgive, such as ourselves, God, our parents, etc. ...Despite how difficult and painful this step is, forgiveness is a commandment: We often do not want to do, but you must make a choice, and the choice of forgiveness is what brings freedom and healing to our hearts.

These last two weeks have been special for the sun that has finally started to show up, and the effects of this is already quite evident on our skin, we're all a bit tanned thanks to our afternoon outings to the beach :)

Next week there will be a Brazilian teacher, who will teach "relationship", we are all looking forward to it, because it is one of the last teachings before our outreach, and that this subject is a key for us as a group but also for our outreach in Ireland.

Last Sunday we went to a small church in San Salvo, we spent the whole day with them, even though it was a small community I was very blessed by them. In the morning we went to the park in the village for a time of praise and evangelism that it was just great, we had lunch with the church, and in the evening we led praise and worship. It was great to see the initiative of the church in reaching their village for Christ and I believe the Lord will honour them in this.

Battaglia Spirituale/Patto con Dio (settimana n.7)

Hey,

sono Rachele, ho quasi 24 anni e sono italiana.

Ho sentito parlare della Scuola di Discepolato a Pescara durante una conferenza il cui argomento era “Fede Sposta le montagne”, il dicembre scorso.

Già da qualche mese stavo pensando di dedicarmi a qualcosa che riguardasse in modo esclusivo la mia relazione con Dio, così 5 mesi di training sulla Parola di Dio e di vita comunitaria mi sono sembrati l’ideale.

Ora sono passate 7 settimane dall'inizio della scuola e ho timore che questa esperienza finisca prima che io possa essere pronta per affrontare il viaggio che Dio ha per me.

La scorsa settimana Beto ci ha parlato della battaglia spirituale e del Patto con Dio.

Realizzare il valore del mondo spirituale e di come questo condiziona la realtà terrena è stato fondamentale per incoraggiarci a voler diventare l’esercito di Cristo, pronto ad essere ammaestrato dalla Verità che è in Cristo Gesù.

Anche se un pò fantastica come immagine ,veramente mi piace pensare che ci stiamo preparando a diventare dei soldati di Cristo proprio come dei veri combattenti:allenamento, determinazione, lavoro di gruppo, servizio e naturalmente l’armatura del cristiano,lucida, su misura e resistente ...

... e finito l’addestramento a fine giornata ci si può concedere un momento di riposo e comunione nel rifugio sicuro che è la base.

Venerdì scorso abbiamo avuto una serata bellisima bellissima, Raquel l’ha chiamata “bazaar della generosità”, in cui ognuno portava dei regali per qualcun altro.

Dio ci ha veramente benedetti e alla fine non riuscivamo a fermarci perché era talmente bello lasciarci guidare dal Signore nel donare a qualcuno ciò che noi stessi avevamo ricevuto poco prima …

Bellissimo.

La settimana prossima Raquel, la direttrice della nostra scuola insegnerà sul perdono: fondamentale per essere un guerriero.

Ah, una scoperta che ho fatto questa settimana: cercare il Signore all’alba durante un passeggiata verso il mare è davvero edificante … alzarsi così presto non è facile ma una volta in strada puoi godere della bellezza della creazione al mattino … dorato, più che bello, sublime.

Spiritual Warfare/Covenant Commitment (week 7)

Hi,

My name is Rachele, I'm almost 24 years and I am from Italy.

I heard about the Discipleship School in Pescara at a conference whose topic was "Faith moves mountains," last December.

For a few months I have been thinking to take some time apart for my relationship with God, so these 5 months of training on the Word of God and community life seemed ideal to me.

Now seven weeks have passed by and I fear that this experience will finish before I can be ready on to walk the journey that God has for me on my own.

Last week Beto talked to us about the Spiritual Battle and the Covenant with God

Acknowledging the value of the spiritual world and its effects on the reality here on Earth was essential to encourage us to want to become the army of Christ, ready to be trained by the Truth that is in Jesus Christ.

Although a bit fantastic as a picture, I really like to think that we are preparing to become soldiers of Christ just like real fighters: training, determination, teamwork, service and of course the armour of the God, polished, tailored and strong ....

And at the end of the day, when we finish the training we can take a moment of rest and communion in the safe haven of our base.

Last Friday night we had a beautiful happening, Raquel called it "bazaar of generosity".It was a time for everyone to bring gifts for someone else. God truly blessed us and we could not stop because it was so nice to be guided by the Lord in giving to someone what we had just received shortly before. It was awesome!

Next week, the director of our school; Raquel Tavares, will teach on forgiveness: which, by the way, is a key to being a warrior.

One more thing! It's something I found out this week: seeking the Lord at dawn walking on the beach is very uplifting. Well, to be honest getting up so early is not easy but once you are out on the road you can enjoy the beauty of creation in the morning with its golden lights, it was not just beautiful, but sublime.
